Sushmita Gurung

Black Belt 5th Dan Karate Coach

Sushmita Gurung is a highly accomplished karate coach and the lead instructor at Sushmita Karate Classes. She began learning karate at the age of just 3 and has since built an impressive career in martial arts.

She is a 16-time national-level gold medalist, reflecting her consistency and competitive excellence. She currently runs her academy under Sushmita Karate Classes, which operates under Balkishan Karate Classes.

Sushmita is the daughter of Shihan Balkishan Gurung, Co-founder and Treasurer of the Shitoryu Karate Do Association, carrying forward a strong martial arts legacy.

Her achievements have been widely recognized—she has been featured by The Times of India, invited as a chief guest on Women’s Day, and honored with the title “Pride of Noida.”

She continues to inspire students through her discipline, achievements, and dedication to karate.
